So on a more Mainstream website where you can purchase axies, there's a pic of an axie labled glow in the dark wildtype...
Is there a such thing or is this just a misuse of the proper title GFP?

Most likely be a G.F.P., do they also offer GFP on that site as well as these "glow in the dark" ones? However it could possibly be (hard to tell without seeing) glow in the dark tattoo ink, I know people have done and do tattoo fish, maybe they have started injecting axies with ink..

But I really hope its a wrongly labeled G.F.P. axolotl

Well, I don't think my local pet store (family run, good to their pets) knew about gfp axies when they got their stock in, because I was told by one of the workers that some wildtypes have glowing spots because of a genetic mutation, so I would assume the site means gfp but don't know to call it that.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
