Hi All!

My name is Erica and I have been raising Chinese Firebelly newts (Cynops orientalis) for about eight years. I live in Southern California where the temperature is pretty warm year round, and I have had much success in breeding without inducing hibernation or using any other artificial temperature cues.

I am interested in keeping some different species of salamander soon and am looking forward to reading about all the personal experiences others on this site have had with their salamanders. See you in the forums!

Wow, that's great. I know many of us have had c. orientalis for a long time without them ever breeding (for example, me!). Welcome!
