I know this is a touchy subject, but it's been bothering me for a long time, and I'd like some opinions.
I have a tadpole with a deformed spine that makes its belly jut out and makes it difficult for it to swim. It's smaller than all the others, and has to labor to swim, and only swims crookedly or in circles. When it rests, which it frequently does on the bottom of the tank, it lies on its side. I have heard that this cannot be reversed, and I really want to do something before it becomes a froglet.
So then, should I euthenize it or let nature run its course? I am worried about its quality of life, though it seems to not be in any pain. It is with other tadpoles, and I see it trying to swim with them at times.
