Why don't you just get axolotl pellets if you're ordering online anyway? I get mine from here and we've never had any problems with them.

The soft moist salmon pellets often used as axolotl food are used in salmon hatcheries for salmon food. They are what the ambystoma genetic stock center uses and recommends as a staple for axolotl food. The shrimp pellets you are asking about have salmon skin as one of their components.

Hard pellets are more difficult to digest. If to many compact hard shrimp pellets are eaten at once by an axolotl they can swell in the digestive tract and cause a blockage. The pellets you ask about should be o.k. in moderation. Rangen soft moist salmon pellets would be a less expensive and more appropriate choice.
