Photo Update: Canadian GFP Leucistic Female

Hello!

I just thought I'd do a brag and show off my GFP Leucistic girl, Luna who measures in at a pudgy 8" :)

My first post here in March she was 4 months old- see in the first photo, the 2nd photo she is 5 months old.

And all of these photos are this week, she is 10.5 months old now and in a nice big 47 gal, hopefully to soon have another axie or two for company :)

I'm using a Fluval Planted + LED light, and have a blacklight nightime setting, it was beyond cool to see her glow in full for the first time!

She's beautiful. But GFP Leucy's aer the best kind of axolotl ;)

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
