Hello, I've just joined after reading and lurking on this forum for ages.
I'm from Missouri and my primary reason for joining is for the sake of my young adult salamander, Moon. Long story short behind him, I made the stupid decision of taking him home as a larva from a creek on the property of a friend of mine's two years ago. He's been with me since before he metamorphosed and is now living in a divided semi-aquatic tank (10 gallon).
I'm joining with the hopes to improve his living overall as well as finally identifying him. I've had him over two years now and still am clueless beyond Eurycea. I've even consulted with biologists at a local college in my area and they couldn't tell! I'm pretty sure he's either a lucifuga or longicauda just with a strange color or morph.
I'm going to try and add some photos of him just for introductions sake, but I'll probably make a post in an appropriate forum to see if anyone can ID him. I'm excited to join finally!
