I have a group that recently started laying. The other night I saw a small bundle of eggs laid under a piece of slate. Today most the eggs were gone or repositioned by force, scattered through the tank.
To avoid the eating of eggs during breeding or egg laying I feed my newts every 2-3 days in very gracious amounts. Now I'm extracting every egg I see with a baster. As a precaution I put the males in a different tank.
Has anyone else experienced this?
