Hey, that's really nice!

Are you sticking with that story, that it's an african bullfrog?

I have moved your thread to our new OFF-TOPIC subforum, where art and such is welcome!

Ian, you should know that all of the Fisheries and Wildlife students in the Polar Bear room with me right know all got that joke, and thought it was hilarious.

The joke is that you see the beautiful great crested newt and think how talented Ian is. Then he tells you he was trying to paint an African Bullfrog. So his attempts to paint an African Bullfrog are terrible and by some happenstance resemble a great crested newt.

you think it looks like a great crested newt ..damn..well i'll try again..

Well I had to peer very closely to see it wasn't actually a real one !!! so I am impressed.

For a crested newt it's a great painting; for a bullfrog it's terrible :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
