Hi, I am going to be getting 2 juvenile marbled newts in a few months and just have a few questions. I have kept many terrestial/arborreal species of frogs, have had turtles etc, and have had a spotted salamander for awhile and these will be my first newts. My questions are what size gallon tank would be approrpriate for these 2 marbled newts, what is the ideal temperature in summer and winter (I read that 70 to up to 77 was fine in summer - is this true?) and how about humidty levels? I have done my homework, it's just these couple of questions I want varified so I have the best conditions for these little guys when I recieve them. Thanks for any help or suggestions!:D

To simulate their natural seasonal change and promote breeding you should aim for winter temperatures of between 5C (41F) - 10C (50F). Summer temperatures of around 20C (68F) are normal. Anything above 25C (77F) may pose a problem, especially if it's long term.
