Lightbulb Giant chinese salamander

I have a friend who's in china. he's breed and farm giant chinese salamander as food. is there anyway we can import them to the US? one of my dream aquatic animal. thank you:happ y:

Nope. USFWS does not accept or recognize CITES 1 downgrades for CB, or the use of CITES 1 animals as "pets". The possibilities of importing CITES 1 animals for any purpose are very stringent and limited, and hobbyist/pet use is a non-starter. The same applies for ESA species, such as California tiger salamanders - fine in other countries, but can't import, export, or cross state lines for pet use.

Where would you keep it, anyway? I want an otter but I'd need to buy a spread with a pond first! Even an iguana needs its own room!
