Hi all,
Our axie Luna, hasn’t eaten for six days and during that time has been lethargic to say the least. However, during that time she has pooped about four times. The tank water tests out OK. The temperature has been higher than I would like at 70F (21.1C) - 71F (21.6C). We have tried her on bloodworm and pellets. On one occasion, she took a pellet, then after a few seconds regurgitated it. During this time she hasn’t moved at all, apart from finding cavities between the rocks in which to hide. Then she just stays motionless for hours and hours. I have removed all the décor, rocks and etc. down to a bare tank with just one simple hide so that I can keep a better eye on her. She has taken herself off into the hide and I haven’t seen her since. Every day I put in food and later remove it uneaten. I am reluctant to keep moving the hide to see how she is, I am concerned this might stress her. Trouble is it isn’t doing my stress levels any good! It is a 20 gallon tank with a Betta canister filter, I have a spray bar that ejects the water onto the back of the tank marginally above water level as this seems to provide the least movement in the water. I have turned the lime wood air stone off. Have been changing 25% of the water every week, this week it was closer to 50%. I have been putting in Easy Life filter medium on recommendation, but feel I want to abandon this practise, as I feel uneasy about it. Not sure where to go from here. Will this become a fridge job?
Best wishes all, have a super Christmas
