Hi all,

I have about 200 eggs that were laid three days ago, and will be harvesting them from the plants soon. I don't have the space to raise them, but I'd love to give them a chance if possible - would anyone be interested in them? I'd be happy to send them for free (plus shipping). Parents are a wild-type GFP and a leucistic, and from my experience with the last clutch, about half the larvae are also GFP. The leucistic vs wild-type phenotypes are also about 50-50.

Let me know via PM if you're interested - I'm in the Boston area, and preference would go to breeders/interested parties nearby. Thanks!

Just a heads-up that these eggs have all been shipped out. Thanks to those of you who reached out about them!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
