Hi, I'm all new and confused about avatars. Technically I can make myself an avatar uploading an image from my computer. I just did and then took it down. However, the avatar form says "Note: Only users with Donor, Site Contributor or higher status may upload their own custom avatars."

This might be a stupid question but does that note mean that even though I can give myself an avatar I'm not allowed to? It's just confusing as on other forums features that are restricted to status are not available to newbies before they reach said status.

If the software is letting you put in an avatar, go ahead and keep it. I suspect that the wording on the avatar form is out-of-date.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
