Hello , new one here!

I've got my axolotls for 2 years now, and the little white is a recent aquisition.
I've never been sure about their type, could you help me out?

Thanks a lot !

Beautiful axies!! I’m not an expert, but to me the first one looks like a wildtype, the second looks like it’s Melanistic (or maybe just a darker wildtype,) and the third looks like a white albino, but I can’t be sure from the photo.

Yep looks like a wild, melanoid and albino or leucy (check the eyes, if they are dark it's a leucy, if they are red/reflective it's an albino) :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
