Worm parasite thing on glass!

There was ( I disposed of it) a worm thing on the glass, not hydra, not planaria,not tubifex,

It was anchored to the glass with a foot and waving in the water trying to catch one of the floating baby snails

It was like a circle/oval with a worm coming out of it but it was one single white shape and it moved like a caterpillar and... Had black dots on the circle/foot/thing

WHAT THE... WAS IT AND HOW do I kill them prevent them

Without a picture and a scale, it's hard to say.

Also, calling it a parasite is not correct either, as even by your description it was a predator.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
