To feed chopped earthworms do you need to tweezer feed? Thanks.

Not necessarily. Chopping up earthworms pieces can be fed in a dish or at the bottom of the setup. Opportunistic feeders should not have trouble finding them, since the worm pieces will continue to wiggle in the water. Feeding with forceps ensures all the tank inhabitants are getting their fare share and prevents leftovers.
I use scissors to cut up earth worms, I allow them to excrete the waste and soil and rinse them off a bit. You can also cut them up on a paper towel to decrease the slim and mess.

Josh, with you keeping redbacks, these guys are REALLY small. When I was keeping small critters, I skewered my small earthworm bits on the end of a paperclip. It's easier than trying to hold them with tweezers.

Thanks. Their main diet won't be earthworms but fruitflies, pillbugs and termites but the earthworms are something I can get when there are shortages of insects outside so that is why I'm asking.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
