What type of plants do you guys have in your tanks and decor? I have a 40 gallon with 3 hides and a few small plays but it looks very empty and im trying to get some ideas on what i should add to it. So if anyone has some good ideas let me know! :)

Java fern, java moss and marimo moss balls are in mine. Stevie seems to love hanging out in the ferns and can frequently be seen nosing a boss ball around.

I have java fern, a marimo ball and a fontinalis ball at the moment. I have had hairgrass, anubis and banana lillies in the past as well.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
