Hi everyone,

Found this ages ago but never posted it up, until now anyway (probably already on the forum, somewhere).

[FONT=&quot]Age Structure of Females in a Breeding Population of Echinotriton chinhaiensis and it's Conservation Implications[/FONT]

I found this a really interesting read and the two photos of the E.chinhaiensis individuals are great in my opinion. I am also interested in hearing from any professional bodies having specimens as I know their Threatened status is incredibly high (being listed as Critically Endangered) and would be interested in hearing about their (if any) conservation programme(s).

Anyway, enjoy :)

P.S No, I am not looking for E.chinhaiensis specimens as in my opinion they shouldn't be in the pet trade. I am happy with sticking to my E.andersoni :)

They are really in danger.
I'm interesting in talking about experience about E.andersoni.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
