Hi all,
anyone know a good US online vendor for Lumbricus terrestris (nightcrawlers)?

I previously got mine from Wards, and although they have friendly customer service, they are also blissfully clueless about how to package worms - they had the poor things packed with heat packs which made about half of them expire.

So..anyone order theirs elsewhere?

Wards sent it with heat packs:eek::D wow kudos to the smartie who shipped that package.
They must keep the heat packs right next to the cold packs.
Do you have any bait stores close by?

earthwormsforsale.com........got mine there and they are great. Came with worms of all sizes and egg capsules.

Is this company still in business?

It looks as if the domain is up for sale.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
