Is it possible to have a leucistic alpine newt? I know there are a lot of color morphs with alpines generally. I have one that is much lighter/borderline translucent or white but not quite a solid white like other leucistic from different species. It is not the light brown that is sometimes seen in female alpines either, I have posted a picture of a siblings beside it for comparison.

Not leucistic. Pretty typical light phase coloration, usually seen on females.

Do they generally keep it as adults? There were times when it got a little darker but it seems to be getting lighter now. I study genetics as a hobby so I was just curious / curious as to how leucism even develops within a species of interbreeding siblings has been disproven to cause genetic issues amongst amphibians(to some extent/ based on what I've read)
