3 new salamanders found in Costa Rica

:happy:Wow, and I thought my sallies were small. That finger nail sized salamander is amazing. I am so excited that they were found in Costa Rica. Each school year in the spring we have an international festival and each class features information they have learned about a spanish speaking country. My class always studies, yep you guessed, Costa Rica. It will be so good to have new information for the students to research. Thanks for the link.

Interesting finds. Is it possible that the small salamander is a juvenile specimin? It wouldnt be the first time that mistake has been made.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
