Dicamptodon habitat, Marin County, CA, April 2014

These pictures show the difference in water levels in this Dicamptodon habitat in Marin County, CA in April 2014 compared to my previous posting of July 2015. While the drought was still occurring last year, note that this year round stream has ample water flow, creating deeper pools, and making Dicamptodon larvae sightings difficult. Was able to find numerous rough skinned newts at this time of year but no other amphibians.
