Default Should Fridging slow them down?

Hi all! New to the board - weve had our Axy, Yoongi, about 8 months. He was flipping and laying upside down yesterday and I read a lot online that you should refrigerate. Well, we put him in there and I expected him to slow down but he was swimming all over the place. Mom made it about 3 hours and now hes on the kitchen counter and happier.

Im not sure if hes constipated or eating air (I know hes a bubble eater) but he seemed very stressed being in the cold. Thoughts?

All the changes may have made him anxious, if you see him upside down, thats usually not a great sign. Was he floating at the surface upside down?
If he continues to do this, put him in a fridge between 5 and 10 degrees C (41-50 F) in a container that is just a little bigger than he is and just a little more water than covers his back. The container should have a lid and you should wrap it in a towel to keep it dark. Place it in an area in the fridge where it wont be disturbed and do a 100% water change with Chilled water daily for 5-7 days then float the container to re-acclimate him to his tank.
Let me know of any changes in condition
