Default newt tail injury

i know there is al ot of info about newt tail injuries on here. My rough skinned newt has a piece of tail missing with white fuzz on it....i have seen references about soil solutions and using white paper towel vs. brown paper towel and stuff about salt baths.....i would like to know where i can view these articles so that i can know how to give my newt the best chance at survival only a few cm's of tail is missing im just worried about teh fuzzy looking thing at the site of the wound....any help greatly appreciated this is my first newt and i would like to have him for more than a couple months
