Hi all,
James here.
I was told that sand was safer than gravel.
Should I buy a certain type of sand?

If so what type is the safest for my axie?

Thanks
James:D

I used children's play sand, rinse well to remove any debris and fine particles..in my case I boiled it too as my children had used it and goodness knows what they may have introduced!!

Regular childrens play sand or pool filter sand will do just fine. Both types will need rinsing first although, I have found that the filter sand takes the least amount of effort. Stay away from masonry sand as this has nasty edges and more times than not has small, none sand objects in it.
