Hi guys,

I was recommended to this site by a friend from another site with an interesting frog problem.

I have a male Green Tree Frog who was dumped on me about 4 or 5 months ago, he is around 5 years old. And no matter what I try, he must stay a blotchy yellow/brown/green colour.

He has a good sized tank, water heater, and the average air temperature in the areas that he sticks in is around 18 - 20 celcius.

Originally, it was thought that he had an infection, but on hearing that he has been this way for months, I was directed here.

Some photos for you to ponder: (Sorry about the aweful quality)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
