So as the title says, my axolotls keep chasing eachother...
They were 3 months old around Christmas so they are still quite young.
They keep on rubbing against eachother and swimming over one another. They arent acting aggressive but ive never seen them be so...involved with eachother.
Are they just playing or is something wrong? ---thanks

Do they have male sexual characteristics? At six months one or both could be sexable males, if so it could explain the behavor which sounds like one/both is trying to breed.

I agree, if they are rubbing up against each other, then start looking for spermatophores in the tank. If one of them starts climbing all over everything high like plants etc. then you have babies coming soon!

I doubt they are old enough to breed, but they may be old enough to initiate mating behaviour.

Or they could just be active and friendly.
