Erm, if it is a fish tank, which is long and watertight, can hold large volumes of water with some depth. Then I s'pose so...

I'd suggest looking online, or in aquatic shops because generally, online is cheaper, but be careful as secondhand can be problematic...

It depends on the expo. My guess is at the Hamburg, Pa. reptile show or the Timonium, Md. Repticon next month you should find some axolotls. Their are lots of reptile expos and most don't have axolotls.

If your buying secondhand ask to see the tank full before you purchase so you can see any leaks, check the lights work and steralise the hell out of it when you get home. Ive picked up three very cheap tanks in the last year and have had no problems.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
