How about Hynobius or Batrachuperus Imjealousofit ?

No really i have no idea, but if it were Batrachuperus I would expect it to have cornified toe tips.
I'm having some Hynobius chinensis/yieuwensis (the everlasting discussion) and they do look quite different.
This animal looks way to flatheaded andlongstretched to be pondtype indeed. Have never seen anything alike it. But then Chinese hynobidae are quite unknown

Well, I am wondering now if this might be another form of Liua shihi (Wushan Salamander) because they were in the same shipment -- and a subsequent shipment had more in with ones that were evidently Liua shihi. Here are the new ones:
(pls excuse the poor quality of pics)
