Hi, I would like some Information on Tiger Salamanders, please!!!!!!
How big do they get, how long do they live and how can I tell if I have a "he" or a "she"?????? Or anything else that some one has Information on. Our Salamander has doubled in size since we found him last June out in our Cornfield. I feed him Crickets and Nightcrawlers. His (her?) Name is Limp and we also have a cat named Bizkit. Limp and Bizkit actualy belong to my Granddaughter, but I think Limp is really neat. He is very active making Tunnels in the Sand and he knows when I come in to the Room. he comes out of his Hole and stands by the Glass watching my every move. I must be doing something right since we had him for 9 Month.
Thank's for any help or Information!!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
