Hi, I'm from Nothen Italy (Veneto Region) and me too i find a lot of young salamander in the little pool near home but is not easy to see adults. In which season did you took this photos?

Wow these are beautiful photos!

Wow incredible, thanks for sharing these

One of the most famous salamander species in Europe and the largest representative of the Salamander family. I love these animals, thank you very much for sharing:talker:.

I had never noticed this thread before. I actually have some animals from the US pet trade that I believe originate from northern Italy but I've never seen photos of native northern Italian animals to compare.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
