Question Transgenic Red?

I have been communicating with Laura Muzinic the Associate Director of the Ambystoma Genetic Stock Center at the University of Kentucky and she mentioned that they have transgenic axxies that glow red as well as the green ones. Has anyone ever seen any of the red glowing ones?

Yes, but from what I've heard it will be quite a while until they are available to the public.

Just got told by Univ of Kentucky that it was a German researcher that developed them but they can only sell them to genetic research labs. Dang! Anyone got a contact at a genetic research lab? hehe

Speaking of which, any word on when their GFP cousins (or the little flamethrowers themselves ) will be coming to Australia?

No news on them yet. I emailed the researcher that created them but no reply.
