Question White patches on Leucistic Axolotl Gills

Hi All,

I have two happy healthy axolotls Pinky and Monkey, Pinky being the leucistic.
He is a really good eater, naturally chubby and a happy swimmer.
Water conditions are fine and Monkey my wild type axie is happy and well too.
However I noticed only today Pinky has two white patches on his feathery gills. Monkey has none.

I'm guessing maybe Monkey bit Pinky as this happened once before, but they generally don't fight. Pinky is the larger of the two, but they are from the same litter (both boys). The two patches (each on a separate gill) look as thought there's a break in the blood supply of the gill (if that makes sense?). I don't believe its fungus and I noticed after Pinky ate some blood worms the white patches were not so prominant. I'm still relatively new to keeping axolotls so I just thought maybe someone has had a similar experience?

I tried to take a photo but Pinky is quite a young scamp and loves swimming (its hard to photograph without a flash - pls note I never photograph them with a flash obviously). Pinky is about 16cm long and approx 3 1/2 cm wide. He doesn't appear stressed and is eating/ swimming as normal. They are not in direct sunlight although they are near a window for some daylight for calcium and have plenty of hides. They mainly eat bloodworms with the occasional brine shrimp.

Many thanks !

I think a photo would help people guess what's up. I'm pretty new as well, but if Pinky doesn't seem bothered and it doesn't look like fungus, I'd just watch closely and see if it changes over time.
