Hi, anyone here have triturus cristatus?? Is it normal that they stay on dry land all the day? Two of my triturus are avoiding the water!! There is any problem about this? Will they get sick because of it????? I would like some ideas to improve my tank! Thanks for the attention!

Now its not too hot... I think that the temperature of the air is about 25/27 C and the water is in the same temperature (I think so)! Is that the cause? What could I do to revert this situation???

I'm not sure if you noticed, but this thread was last active twelve years ago and Felipe no longer has an account on here.
Some threads do stay relevant for a long time, but I think you'd be better making your own thread if you have a specific problem?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
