can i use ghost shrimp as a feeder and an additional feature for my newt's environment?
can shrimp carry disease?
is this suitable for a c. pyrroghaster?

Yes, you can use them as tankmates/feeders. They are usually too fast to be caught by newts, but if they are eaten, no big loss. I don't know of any disease problems, but anything you get from a pet shop is a potential source. It wouldn't hurt to quarantine them for a week or two and change their water completely from what they come home in.

ok thank you}
i am relatively new to caring for a newt. I try. Do you know if any plants are harmful to a newt? i am looking to buy a plant, and i wonder if a plant can cause infection or a negative reaction?

It's unlikely to get any infection from a plant. However, the plant is likely to bring in pond snails and other micro-critters. These things are not harmful, just don't be surprised at what you get.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
