It's not uncommon, by the way, for C. ensicauda to lay their eggs while upside-down

It seems they may lay eggs year-round in the wild as we found gravid females, males with tail sheens, and larvae even in June.

Hey Tim! Again, great pics of animals in action! Just wonderful. I have seen my C.o. female lay eggs in an upside down position also (at first I thought she was dead!).

The areas you visit are beautiful also. I bet you never get tired of finding newts!!! Thanks
