In a couple of weeks i'm getting a group of Eurycea bislineata. I have a 30x30 cm tank that I have to setup for them. I have read the caresheet for this species and have gotten a lot of information about the animals and their setup from their owner. It is going to be a semi-aquatic setup with rocks in it. But I wanted to get some good suggestions from people on this forum who own these animals or other small semi-aquatic plethodontidae. Or just any good suggestions to help me create a beautiful tank for them.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
