I'm really glad to hear this! I would love to see captive bred populations of Pachytriton in the hobby and this is a good sign of that coming. Good luck with this years eggs.
Awesome, Erik! So, same conditions as last year, and the same parents? And I don't care about poor picture quality - please post more About how big are last years "crop" now? How many morphed, and did you have a high or low mortality rate for eggs, larvae, metamoprhs? Fill us in, please!
Wow congratulations!
Could you inform us about the condition you kep them year round? Temperature? photoperiod? diet? or whatever that could be interesting.
Best greetings
Yago
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
