Hi I have a tylototriton shanjing with 13cm. I´ve looked to the cloaca an opened and thats a female certainly..but with 13 has age she has? And to be adult how many cm must have? mine have 13cm (130mm), some photos of my favorite newt:

nice newt, looking at it i'd say male.
 
Yes it´s slimy and more flashing but the coaca says a female...:confused: remember that it gots 13cm..

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
