My Dobros. I have one boy and two girls. He is a more shy, and carefull eater. The girls are pigs, expecially the bigger/fatter one. I love them all, even thier faults. They range from 4.5-5 inches and are less than one year old. Here they are:

Here is blue the blue spotted salamander. He is the one with only one sal in the pic. He is 5 inches, I think that is as big as they get.

Grumble. Envious.

Never seem to see such nice sallies here.

I have one as of now, I raised a bunch of larvae into metamorphosis 3 years back.

Nice enclosures and animals by the way.

Thanks, they are a very beautiful species, arent they? I just got an Ambystoma Tigrinum as well. I want a spotted sal someday. Ambystoma are great!

My blue-spotted sausage was rescued from a pool.

I have to admit that blue spotted sals. are some of the prettiest out of all the Ambystoma.

He's not fat. He's big boned.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
