I've always loved the look of these frogs and as I was passing by Andrew @ Pollywogs house at the wekend I decided to get myself a couple of early Christmas presents. I haven't thought of any names yet.
Hope you like - and if anyone wants one of these I know Andrew has lots and his livestock is always healthy and of a great quality.

Aww! They're so cute when they're little!!

Are these the ones bred by Andrew himself?

They're very nice indeed. Pity he doesn't post here any more - got his knickers in a twist a few years ago over something petty and has never buried the hatchet, bless him. I always thought he was a nice fellow.

Great little froglets!
Just a warning most (not all) Cranwells really lose thier appetite as they get older.
Great frogs anyhow.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
