I used to have paddle tailed newts, and i think they are wonderfull creatures, and i like the fact that they stay in water if the conditions are good, low temp and cleaned tank, but they escaped from that tank and dryed outside of it, i was at work, and i think that it was because tank conditions where not good and the top was loose.
So i gat my lost there and i want to make a better tank for any sal or newt but first of all i want to know what kind of caudata uses water and land portions of the tank in a equitative time, so i can build an aquaterrarium. so then via internet or somehow get the animal and have a new friend here, haha.
thanks for your time guys (girls included)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
