hi
we have a poorly newt, just wondered if you could help but we dont think it looks good. 2 days my newt got his tail stuck in the pump, lord knows how, we have used this pump with no problems, but anyway, he writhed around a fair bit and managed to pull himself out. I took him straight to the vets in a paniv, they felt he was okay, but asked me to keep an eye on him, make sure his tail didnt start swelling, if it did, i was to bring him straight back. I was out all day yesterday and when i checked on him last night, i noticed his colour hadchanged from black to brown, he looks like he lost weight, he is still moving round, albeit a bit slower.
I'm very upset and concerned and don't really know what to do, i'm just hoping its shock/stress and he'll pull through. I don't know any amphibian vets in sheffield.
any advice appreciated, thanks
