Just thought I would say hello, and give a little info about me. I have been 21 for 8 years now. I breed Leopard Geckos, Pied and albino Ball pythons, Albino boas, Corn Snakes, and birds ranging from English Budgies to Cockatoos and Eclectus. I am also expecting a litter of English Mastiff puppies. :) As pets I have Mastiffs, Northern and Silver Tanimbar Blue tongue skinks, Birds from Budgies up to Macaws, Geckos, Turtles, African Clawed Frogs, Fish, and soon some Axolotls. I know its alot of animals but I work from home so I have alot of time for them. :) Either way I hope to have fun learning from you all and maybe helping some of you out.

Wow! Welcome! Can't wait to see some photos of your brood.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
