My paddletails were tolerating each other.
I know its weird!! Usually one sees another coming and performs a disappearing act. But they were actually close enough to be touching and actually climbed over one another. Does this mean something? Or are the fat little buggers just getting lazy?
While I smiled and stared at this rarity I realised - they don't look the same. I have pictures, but I can't up load them right now.
I know there are several different subspecies or at least it sounds like it when I talk to people.
One is an even dark brown on its back. Not spots of orange or white on its tail.
The other is lighter, with a line of orange spots going along its back.
Both have orange bellies. I didn't get a good look at their bellies for differences but I'll work on that and post pics later.
anyone got a guess off hand? Or is this a case of caucasian w/blonde hair blue blue eyes vs. caucasian w/red hair and freckles?
