hullo,
what brands of chlorine/chloralimine remover chemicals have people had good results with?

thanks

Amquel and NovAqua when used together are the best on the market in my opinon. The combination of Sodium Thiosulfate from the Amquel and the Hydroxymethanesulfonic acid in the NovAqua eliminate all traces of chlorine and cloramines and bind them to a biological filtration cycle friendly form of ammonia. This will also strip out most of your heavy metals like copper and lead as a side effect.

Note: if you do an ammonia test even after using these, it will still pop positive. There are two forms of ammonia in aquaria, only one of which is toxic to fish.

I use "Prime," because that's what my petshop sells.
(not literally 'my' petshop; the one where I always go.)

With Dawn here. I am a "Prime" user.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
