Just wanted to say hi to everyone.

I have been interested getting into other amphipians besides frogs and I just found the Site, so I want to study up on different types of Newts and Salamanders before I try raising any.

My current collection includes

Frogs:
3 Tanzanian Red Legged Walking Frogs
Madagasgar Tomatoe Frog
Tiger Legged Tree Frog
Red Eyed Tree Frogs
1 Azure PDF
2 Leucemela PFDs
2 Austrialian White's Tree Frogs

Geckoes:
1 New Caledonian Crested Gecko
2 Golden Geckoes
1 Marble Gecko
1 crocodile Gecko
2 Flying Geckoes
1 Chinesse Cave Gecko

I hope to open a Zooilogical/Herpilogical Society here in Wichita Falls someday. We are 150+ miles to the Nearest Zoos and alot of kids never have a chance to see some of these creatures. not everyone can get to the Dallas, Ft Worth, or Oklahoma Zoos

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
