This is Ron on his first day in the tank! Now, I know there are no hiding places yet, I'm making a few purchases next week after the trouble I had with Seapets. I just really wanted to get him in there after 2 months in a tub!

Awe, bless you Mike :)

You have made me giggle! When you post your message, there is a little paperclip sign which you can use to add pics.

Yes it has worked and I must say Ron is quite the looker.

Ron's a stunner, such a big boy, beautiful pink frillies....but enough about me. Your axie looks great Mike..

Ron.

LOL at "Human Ron"...

Axie Ron looks great Mike and, remembering what his gills looked like when you first got him, it would appear that you are nursing him back into being a stunner!

Seriously, well done, I can see such a big difference, hurrah for good husbandry and have some rep for your hard work :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
