Lo all!
I'm Aru and my pride and joy are my dogs...erm axies!

I seem to have already made a name for myself (badly) with my first post so may not be on here very long... :(

Anywho...hi and I hope I'll get to know some of you better and be able to pick ur brains -I imagine a forum like this is a godsend for solving any little quirks!

Unfortunately, your first post stepped right on a hot-button issue. Welcome, hope you find lots of good help and learning here.

Welcome to the forum! I hope to see more of you and your axies around. I hope to see some pictures soon!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
