Surveying vernal pool-breeding amphibians in northern Alabama/southern Tennessee.

Awesome! Long term or short term? When do you start? health benefits?

Long, ish.

Soon, I hope. I have to talk to Tim about it.

No. There are no health benefits for seasonal biologists. *shrug* Just part of the trade off for doing a job that's so fricking fun.

That being said, Alabama A&M is a pretty awesome school. I would have to go to grad school in the Forestry Department, but then I can do a project on forest disturbances and their effects on wildlife, or something like that. And it's pretty decently priced (by that, I mean cheap!). So maybe I'll just stay in Alabama. I like the south anyway.

Congratulations Ms. Kayse:happy:!!!

Congratulations! That seems like an awesome job :) I can't wait to get to college!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
